My Story

A career built at the
intersection of people
and systems

"I don't separate the personal from the professional. The two have always informed each other in my work."

Kimberly Perez is a Trauma-Informed Certified Coach, MBA in IT Management, multidisciplinary consultant, and speaker with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of human wellness and organizational excellence.

Her journey began in direct service to military families and trauma survivors. Over more than a decade, she served organizations including NAMI, the PTSD Foundation of America, and Trauma Reboot, working as a Military Family Support Group Facilitator, Homefront teacher, Caregiver Support Group Co-Facilitator, and Course Leader for a women-only trauma healing cohort. Notably, she developed an AI-driven custom curriculum for veteran caregivers, building deep expertise in trauma-informed care, group facilitation, and human-centered support.

In parallel, Kimberly built a strong professional foundation in communications, technology, and operations. She earned her MBA in IT Management and became a 7x Salesforce Certified professional, bringing product ownership discipline and systems thinking to every organization she has served.

She has advised on organizational communications and strategy, built and optimized enterprise systems, and worked across platforms including Salesforce, HubSpot, Squarespace, and Carrd. Her technical fluency is matched only by her commitment to the humans those systems are meant to serve.

Kimberly is also a 2024 Elizabeth Dole Foundation Caregiver Fellow Alum, selected to represent military and veteran caregivers through federal and state policy advocacy, workforce development, and employer strategy. She has engaged on Capitol Hill, spoken at the SHRM + Elizabeth Dole Foundation Summit and USAA Educational Foundation events, and contributed to initiatives supporting veteran families nationwide.

She has a deep heart for mission-driven and veteran-serving organizations, providing pro bono web support to a veteran nonprofit and offering affordable digital consulting to similar organizations upon request. Today, through Echo Your Impact, LLC, Kimberly takes on select consulting, coaching, and speaking engagements with individuals, nonprofits, and organizations serious about sustainable, human-centered growth.

The Foundation

Everything I do is grounded in the
EYI Courageous Conversations Framework

Most organizations and individuals struggle not because they lack strategy or systems, but because they lack the language, safety, and structure to have the conversations that actually matter. Whether I am coaching an individual, advising an organization, building a system, or speaking to a room full of leaders, this framework is the foundation.

01

See Every Whole Person in the Room, Including Yourself

Everyone in the conversation is carrying something, including the leader. Acknowledging that is not weakness. It is where real trust begins.

02

Name What's Actually Happening

Most tension comes from things left unsaid. Real leadership means finding honest language for difficult moments before they become crises.

03

Communicate With Boundaries, Not Barriers

Honesty and empathy are not opposites of accountability. You can hold people to standards and still lead with humanity.

04

Build Systems That Reflect Your Values

Culture lives in your policies, processes, and the conversations you are willing to have. Real impact requires structures that support the people inside them.

01

Coaching

Trauma-Informed and Executive Coaching

Individual and executive coaching grounded in trauma-informed principles. A safe, empowering space for people navigating trauma, burnout, career transitions, grief, or major life changes who are ready to move forward with clarity and intention.

With over 10 years of facilitation experience and a TICC certification, Kimberly brings both clinical grounding and genuine human compassion to every coaching relationship. Whether you are an individual working through a personal transition or a leader navigating the weight of a demanding role, sessions are tailored to meet you where you are.

Speaking

Speaking & Facilitation

Kimberly speaks for the people who often feel unseen in professional spaces and equips leaders with practical tools to build cultures rooted in clarity, respect, and psychological safety. Her talks draw from lived experience and real workplace dynamics, not theoretical models or scripted HR language.

Her signature talk, EYI Courageous Conversations: Supporting Teams Through Stress, Burnout, and Life Outside the Office, explores what courageous conversations actually look like in practice. Leaders leave with practical ways to recognize the line between support and emotional overextension, communicate with honesty and boundaries, and create trust inside imperfect systems.

Kimberly is available for conferences, corporate events, leadership retreats, and nonprofit convenings. She speaks to audiences of leaders and professionals who want a more grounded, human approach to leadership without sacrificing themselves in the process.

As a veteran caregiver myself, I hold space for this community differently. Just reach out honestly about what you need.

Common Questions

Before you reach out

Yes, for both individuals and nonprofits. If budget is a barrier, say so in your message. I would rather find a way to make it work than have cost be the reason someone does not get support.

As a veteran caregiver myself, I hold space for this community differently. A small number of pro bono spots each year go to work serving veteran families, caregivers, and hidden helpers. For others in the veteran community, low-cost and sliding scale options are available.

Therapy focuses on healing the past, processing what happened and why. Coaching focuses on the present and future, where you are now, where you want to go, and the actionable steps to get there. As a trauma-informed coach, I am trained to recognize when trauma shows up in our work and hold space for it safely, but coaching is not a clinical service and does not replace therapy.

Submit the contact form and I will be in touch within 2 to 3 business days. If you would like a discovery call, just note that in your message. Completing the form first helps us move faster since my schedule is limited.

How I Think About Leadership

The CORE
Methodology

A framework rooted in trauma-informed and whole person coaching principles. Built for leaders who are carrying a lot and still showing up anyway.

My Philosophy

Leadership is a whole
person practice

I built the CORE Methodology because I kept seeing the same pattern: leaders who were skilled, committed, and genuinely caring, burning out because no one had given them a framework for the invisible parts of the work.

This is not a productivity system. It is not about doing more. It is about leading in a way that is honest about what you are carrying, boundaried enough to be sustainable, and grounded enough to actually reflect your values.

It is rooted in trauma-informed and whole person coaching principles, which means it starts with the assumption that every person in the room, including you, is a full human being first.

Rooted in trauma-informed and whole person coaching
Built for leaders navigating burnout, stress, and invisible load
Designed to work across individual, team, and organizational levels
Grounded in values, not performance metrics
The Four Pillars

Explore the CORE Methodology

Real leadership begins with honest language. Courageous Conversations are not about conflict: they are about creating the conditions where truth can actually be spoken. This framework gives leaders a four-part structure for showing up fully in the conversations that matter most.

The Four Steps

Everyone in the conversation is carrying something, including the leader. Acknowledging that is not weakness. It is where real trust begins.

Most tension comes from things left unsaid. Real leadership means finding honest language for difficult moments before they become crises.

Honesty and empathy are not opposites of accountability. You can hold people to standards and still lead with humanity.

Culture lives in your policies, processes, and the conversations you are willing to have. Real impact requires structures that support the people inside them.

Every leader is carrying more than their job description. Caregiving responsibilities, chronic stress, grief, systemic pressure, the emotional labor of holding space for others while managing your own: this is the invisible load. Overcoming it does not mean eliminating it. It means naming it, understanding how it shows up in your leadership, and building the capacity to carry it without it carrying you.

Boundaries are not walls. They are the structures that make sustainable leadership possible. Reclaiming yours means getting honest about where you end and where your role begins, and communicating that in ways that protect your energy without damaging your relationships. This is not about saying no more. It is about saying yes to the right things on purpose.

Growth that is not grounded in your values is just movement. Evolving through aligned action means building habits, systems, and decisions that actually reflect who you are and where you are going, not just who you think you are supposed to be. This is where the work becomes sustainable.

The goal is not a leader who never struggles. It is a leader who knows what they are carrying and chooses to lead anyway.
